Everyone knows the best part about leaving high school is the PROM – unless you’re my age and you didn’t have one, a school disco was as good as we got and if you’ve been through it this year you’ll know what an experience it actually is! Gorgeous dresses, perfect make up (I was still using blue mascara and Matte moose foundation at their age I’m sure of it) and of course a ride to get you noticed on arrival.
Harriet and Zoe had all this going on! Harriet is my best friends Daughter. Louise and I have known each other over 10 years having worked with each other for serval of those at a local college before I left to become a Full Time Photographer. If there was ever a reality TV show about the staff of an FE college we would have quickly become the stars. Anyway what I’m saying is we’re both great fun (and should have our own TV show) – so fun they separated us in the end haha. So I’ve know Harriet since she was 8 or 9 years old and there was no question in me taking her prom photos at the end of June. I couldn’t wait to see her and neither could my youngest 2,Caitlin & Bella who adore Harriet and her friends and they even put their own party dresses on to see her off, too cute.
Before getting into their stunning dresses a fishbowl & shots with Grandma Sue was in order to calm their excitement. Harriet was lucky enough to have her Mum Louise and Dad Nathan as well as other family and friends come to the house to see the girls off. Zoe’s mum Paula was on hand to help Zoe into her dress as there were too many straps for us to work out and nearly ended up with it on back to front, where as Step Dad Neil did a great job as bag holder whist the girls had their photos taken.
After a few poses and selfies it was time to set off to their first stop off to meet other friends for photos before going over to a posh Hotel in Bacup for the actual party. We saw all sorts of cars arriving and even a tractor but nothing was as amazing as the girls transport. Family friend Ged very Kindly offered to drive the girls in the most amazing car I have EVER seen. It was beautiful. A 10 day old Rolls Royce, Phantom 8 in Dark green with Orange interior – it even had tiny lights in the roof that looked like stars at night and the New York sky time on the dash board! It is also the only car of its kind in the UK – how lucky where the girls to be driven around in this beauty?! My photos don’t do the car justice is was just magnificent.
Here’s a few from Harriet & Zoe’s
evening – you both looked amazing and best of luck for the future girls x
